hehe, I just wanna talk about what else I learnt from the church camp! I learnt so much man! :)
ok, on the 1st night, we played this game called "the game of success". something like that lah. I think it's like that. anyway, there was a stock market, and many stalls around. there was this green club, then a purple, and the exclusive club which only excepts 20 members. on the tag that you wear if you are from the green or purple, there are these words: be envious. I can't remember what royston said about it. ahhh!!
never mind! hehe.. anyway, they sold toys (the marble!!), education, housing, food and I think that's about it lah! oh ya, got a lottery thing and also credit cards. haha.. then they also sold the 9 fruits of the Spirit and spiritual discipline. like "daily prayer for your friends" and "daily devotion" like that lah. The first fruit of the Spirit I saw was gentleness. I was like, oh, I don't want to buy this! I wanted to get the nissan. hehe! I asked tiffany what she wanted to buy, then she said "I want to buy GENTLENESS!" in the end I think she didn't buy. then, I can't remember whether I had bought anything yet, but my sister came to me and I saw that she had all the spiritual discipline and the fruits of the Spirit thing on her styrofoam board. then she said she thought she had told me how to play the game already. but she didn't! anyway, she said "you must think carefully about what to buy." so, I went around buying the spiritual stuff. I told tiff also, and eunice already knew cos she played during one of her scouts camp I think. haha!
during the game I actually picked up 2 $50 notes! just when I needed the money lor! =D ya!
at the end of the game, I got 8 fruits and 3 spiritual discipline and one credit card. hehe! I bought it from jian han. I remember royston said "everybody look at the screen!" and then they made the stock market sort of fall down like that, donno how 2 say. "oh, the stock market has crashed! everything is worthless!" then he also said "the cashiers are gone! you can grab all the money!" then a lot of people rushed to the stalls and took all the cash. wow! hehe! I also tried to see where I could get some of the money, but everywhere I went, the cashiers were already keeping the money! hehe!
in the end, what we could keep was the spiritual stuff and the money. cos everything else was worthless.
the explanation of the game came.. (I like this part!) I realised that the things of the world don't last..only the things of God. So why chase after worldly passions when they won't last?
and about the grabbing (or stealing) of the cash, it really reflects badly on us.
yeah..that made me realise that i shouldnt be caught in the things of the world, but we should really chase after God.
